The organizing committee of the International Conference on Insect Pest Management (ICIPM) is very honored to invite you to attend the Third ICIPM in Nanjing, China, on October 20-23, 2023. The ICIPM is organized by the Entomological Society of China (ESC) every two years, aiming to gather scientists, marketing representatives, and pest management professionals to exchange scientific findings, and share research experiences on all aspects of insect pest management.

The theme for the third ICIPM is Innovation of Low-Carbon Green-Driven Pest Management Strategies. Global climate change is anticipated to exacerbate the impact of insect pests on agriculture, forestry, and health. Therefore, low-carbon green-driven practices of pest management could markedly reduce the undesirable effects of global warming on humankind. Thus, the conference will focus on a better understanding of species adaptation, evolution and underlying ecological mechanisms, and exploration of sustainable pest management practices. The topics at the conference include, but are not limited to, the mechanisms, prevention, monitoring and forecasting of pest outbreaks and disaster, plant-pest-natural enemy interactions and co-evolution, pesticide toxicology and resistance management, biological control, and ecological pest management.  

The Third ICIPM is co-organized by Nanjing Agricultural University and ESC, and will take place in Zhongshan Scenic Area in Nanjing, a beautiful garden city in the Yangtze River Delta in East China, close to the major international airport in Shanghai. Nanjing is a vibrant, prosperous and modern city, with a long history as an ancient capital of ten dynasties, a rich cultural heritage and landscape, and developed science, technology and education resources. As chairmen of the conference, we cordially invite each of you to participate in this conference, and to join us in Nanjing's golden autumn.
